These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the LYTE website, web application, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the “Service”), operated by LYTE App, LLC, a Texas limited liability company with its principal place of business at One Riverway, Suite 900, Houston, TX 77056 (“LYTE,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
LYTE provides AI-assisted tools designed to help users explore Christian wisdom, Scripture, and faith-related questions. The Service is intended as a resource for learning and reflection. It is not a substitute for pastoral guidance, professional counseling, medical advice, legal advice, or emergency services. If you are in crisis or experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, contact local emergency services or a crisis hotline immediately. Users remain solely responsible for how they interpret and apply information provided by the Service.
Transparency Disclosure: LYTE’s responses are generated by an artificial intelligence system, not a human. Your prompts and interactions are processed using third-party AI model providers. For details on how your prompts are processed and shared with these providers, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use the Service. If you are between 13 and 17 years old, you may only use the Service with the consent and involvement of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we learn we have done so, we will delete that data promptly.
LYTE relies on user self-attestation to verify age eligibility. We do not independently verify the age of users. A parent or legal guardian who provides consent for a minor’s use of the Service assumes full responsibility for that minor’s access to and use of the Service, including responsibility for monitoring the minor’s interactions.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
You may use LYTE only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. You agree not to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if misuse, abuse, or unlawful activity is detected.
All software, design, text, features, branding, and other materials within the Service are owned by or licensed to LYTE and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Use of the Service does not grant you ownership of any part of the platform. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from the Service without our prior written permission.
The Service is controlled and operated from the United States. The Service is not currently available to users located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland; we plan to expand availability to these regions in the future. By using the Service, you represent that you are not located in, and are not accessing the Service from, the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland. Attempting to circumvent this restriction, including by use of a VPN, proxy, or false location information, is a violation of these Terms. While the Service may be accessed from other locations outside the United States, we make no representation that the Service is appropriate or available for use in other locations or jurisdictions. Availability of the Service in a particular jurisdiction does not constitute an offer or solicitation where such offer or solicitation is prohibited by law. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws, including local restrictions on religious or AI-related content where applicable.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. AI-generated responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not reflective of any particular denomination or tradition. To the maximum extent permitted by law, LYTE’s aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) US$100.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local mandatory consumer-protection law requires otherwise. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas, unless local law gives you the right to bring a claim in your home country.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the Service or by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to hello@asklyte.ai, or in writing to LYTE App, LLC, One Riverway, Suite 900, Houston, TX 77056.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
